ABILENE, Texas – The Texas Lutheran women’s soccer team scored six goals in the first 50 minutes of action and rolled to a 6-0 win over McMurry on Friday.
TLU moved to 6-6-3 overall and to 4-4-2 in the American Southwest Conference.
McMurry dropped to 0-14-1 overall and to 0-11-1 in the ASC.
TLU sophomore Kaysie Boomhower (San Antonio/Madison) scored twice and added an assist. Boomhower scored in the ninth minute with an assist from Rachel Schafer (Albuquerque, N.M./Eldorado). Boomhower’s second goal was unassisted and came in the 21st minute.
Cami Griffin (Victoria, Texas/Tuscarora, Md./Towson State), Lauren Brehm (San Antonio/East Central), and Kristin Meloni (San Antonio/Madison) also scored for the Bulldogs.
Boomhower assied on the Griffin goal in the 12th minute.
The Bulldogs received a McMurry own goal in the 25th minute.
TLU ends its 2009 season on Saturday with a 1 p.m. road match in Abilene against Hardin-Simmons.
