ABILENE, Texas – Cody McGrath’s goal in the 72nd minute lifted the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys to a 1-0 American Southwest Conference victory over Texas Lutheran on Saturday.
McGrath scored his third goal of the season with an assist from Eloy Salgado.
HSU moved to 9-2-5 overall and to 8-1-3 in the ASC.
TLU concluded its season with a 4-11-2 overall mark and a 4-7-2 record in the ASC.
HSU out-shot TLU 21-6. TLU keeper Trey Tesno made four saves for the Bulldogs. HSU keeper Logan Waters recorded three saves.
