Men’s Golf

The third Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, and the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs are ranked 16th in the latest poll. The ranking combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

TLU is one of four American Southwest Conference teams in this week’s Golf World/Nike Golf Top 25. The University of Texas at Tyler is ranked ninth. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and the University of Texas at Dallas are ranked 19th and 21st, respectively.

The winner of the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament, to be contested April 20-21 in Anna, Texas, receives the automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championships. At-large berths are awarded by a national committee.

TLU plays this coming Monday and Tuesday at the West Region Invitational in Georgetown, Texas. The tournament will be played at Teravista Country Club.
