ABILENE, Texas – American Southwest Conference regular season champion Hardin-Simmons fended off a challenge by Texas Lutheran in posting a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday.
Jordan Morley and Taylor Thigpen scored for the Cowgirls (16-1, 12-0 ASC).
Morley scored her fifth goal of the season, and Thigpen added her 14th of the year.
TLU dropped to 6-7-3 overall and to 4-5-3 in the ASC.
HSU out-shot TLU 25-2 and led in shots on goal 14-2. Marlena Ashby made 12 saves for the Bulldogs.
