Players, Court, Equipment, Game

1.    Teams must have 3 players to start. Teams may continue with fewer than 3 as long as they have a reasonable chance to win. Only 6 players may play for a team in each game. GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME!
2.    Players’ Equipment: No jewelry, period! (i.e. all necklaces, taped earrings, watches, etc. must be removed). No metal braces or hard plastic (casts are not allowed). Jerseys will be provided if a team does not have them. ALL PLAYERS MUST PRESENT A VALID TLU ID PRIOR TO EVERY GAME!
3.    Odd or even choice determines which team puts the ball in play to start the contest. For the rest of the game the alternating possession rule is in effect.
4.    Rough Play: A student supervisor will serve as the enforcer of fair play and sportsmanship. Should there be any observations of rough play or unsportsmanlike conduct, the supervisor will verbally warn the captain of the team in question. Teams will receive ONLY one warning per game. After the first warning a team that is issued a second warning will cause the game to be suspended.
5.    Games will be SELF-OFFICIATED.
6.    Technical fouls: A player receiving a technical foul is automatically ejected from the game.
7.    Game time: 20 minutes or the first team to score 15 points. All field goals will count as one point, regardless of whether the shot is beyond the three-point line or not.
8.    Overtime: If the game is tied after 20 minutes there will be a sudden death play-off.
9.    Throw-ins: All throw-ins will be administered from the top of the key. All throw-ins must be passed in. The “thrower-in” may not dribble in.
10.           Substitutions: subs enter at team’s discretion at a dead ball situation.
11.           Timeouts: Teams are entitled to one 30 second timeout per game. They will receive one additional 30 second time out for overtime.
12.           Ball that does not hit the rim is qualified for either team. If the ball hits the rim, it must be taken beyond the 3-point arc before it is qualified for the non-shooting team. Failure to qualify the ball is a violation.
13.           Ejection: Players ejected must leave the facility and are subject to tournament disqualification and other penalties as deemed necessary by the supervisor in charge. NOTE: PROFANITY IS AN AUTOMATIC EJECTION.
14.          The supervisor has the sole discretion to rule on any points not mentioned or covered by the above rules.
