Graduate Applications

Applying as a Graduate Student

TLU offers six graduate programs led by faculty who work at the main campus in Seguin. Of the six programs, three are 100% online – the MBA, the Master of Science in Business Analytics, and the Master of Arts in Education. The Master of Athletic Training, Master of Science in Data Science, and Master of Accountancy are on-campus programs.

Are You a Graduate Student or Transfer Student?

To apply as a graduate student, you must hold a bachelor’s degree or be in-progress to complete it before you begin classes. If you will not have a bachelor’s degree prior to enrolling, you will need to apply as a transfer student.

What Application Should I Fill Out?

The graduate program you are interested in determines what application form you will fill out. For example, students applying for TLU's Master of Arts in Education, Master of Accountancy, Master of Science in Business Analytics, or the MBA will use the Graduate Student Application. However, if a student is applying to TLU's master's program in Athletic Training, they will use the Athletic Training Centralized Application System (ATCAS).

How to Apply if You Are a Current TLU Student:

If you are a current TLU student, please use the link below to apply to the graduate programs for Accounting, Athletic Training, and Business Analytics:

About our Graduate Programs

Our graduate programs have different admissions criteria and requirements, application deadlines, term starts, and costs. Please refer to each graduate program’s web page for details on admissions criteria, deadlines, and costs.

Master of Accountancy (MAcy): This program has two entry paths for applicants:

  • Current TLU Students: The MAcy is designed as a five-year, concurrent program for TLU students who want to graduate with both a B.B.A. and a Master of Accountancy. Current TLU students have a different application process (see link above for current students).
  • Direct Entry Students: Applicants who already hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university may apply for admission to the MAcy program. If the applicant’s bachelor’s degree is not equivalent to a B.B.A. in accounting, the applicant must complete certain additional courses. In some circumstances, other courses may be necessary to meet CPA exam eligibility requirements.

Master of Athletic Training (MAT): This program has two entry paths for applicants:

  • Current TLU Students: Traditional college freshmen can earn concurrent degrees in five years – a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Athletic Training upon graduation. Current TLU students have a different application process (see link above for current students).
