Virtual Tour: Athletic Training Master's Degree Program
Interested in becoming an athletic trainer? Take our virtual tour and learn more about the opportunities and experiences unique to our program
I. Tour Our Athletic Training Clinic and Athletic Training Lab
Students in our program work in real clinical situations with real patients - our student athletes. As your expertise grows, so do your opportunities for more hands-on patient care. This includes injury evaluation, on-field immediate care, rehabilitation design, and preventative programming. You will be able to make important healthcare decisions based on the knowledge and experience you gain in the classroom, AT clinic, and AT lab.
Join MAT student Chris Alvarado for a video tour of our Athletic Training Clinic where our students work with real patients:
Small classes make a difference and Athletic Training classes are among the smallest at TLU. You’ll be in a cohort of 10-12 students, allowing you to get more one-on-one time with professors and preceptors.
Join some of our MAT students for a tour of the Athletic Training lab where they learn, study, get hands-on training, and form lasting friendships with their fellow students.
II. Meet our Admissions Director and Learn How to Apply to the MAT Program
Meet Elliott Powell, Director for Transfer and Graduate Admissions. He will take you step-by-step through the enrollment process for the Master of Athletic Training Program. Whether you're entering as a first-year student or a graduate student, Elliott is here to work with you.
III. Meet TLU's Head Athletic Trainer - Matt Matocha
Matt Matocha is not only TLU's head Athletic Trainer, he's also a TLU alumnus. Matt shares why he pursued a career in athletic training and what students can expect from the program. He also has some words of advice for students who are thinking about a career in athletic training.
