Useful resources and tools to enhance recruiting efforts.
Academics are the primary focus for Division III student-athletes. The division minimizes the conflicts between athletics and academics and keeps student-athletes on a path to graduation through shorter practice and playing seasons, the number of contests, no redshirting and regional competition that reduces time away from academic studies. Student-athletes are integrated on campus and treated like all other members of the general student-body, keeping them focused on being a student first.
At TLU, it's an amazing opportunity to be part of one of our 18 intercollegiate teams, and our student-athletes' success in the classroom is just as important to us as success on the court or the field. Our goal for all student-athletes is to receive an affordable, top-rated education while also realizing their goal of playing collegiate sports.
Bulldog Athletics is home to national champions, All-Americans, conference titles, and much more. We are committed to academic success and helping all student-athletes experience how special and transformative competing at the collegiate level can be.

Main Objectives
While you are often the first point of contact for prospective recruits, you will work very closely with the TLU Office Of Admissions to make sure you understand the enrollment process while encouraging your athletes to complete all necessary documents for applying. The Athlete Inquiry Form is how TLU Admissions receives a prospective student's information and assigns a representative to guide them along the application process.
Completing the form is critical and necessary for TLU Admissions to make sure they have everything they need. It's a good practice to remind athletes about completing the inquiry form as soon as possible.
Did you know that TLU has waived SAT/ACT scores for Spring 2021 and Fall 2021 applicants?

While we do not offer athletics scholarships as a DIII university, we do believe all students should be able to afford a small, private college experience.
For that reason, we promise at least $20,000 per year for up to four years to admitted students with a 3.60 core academic GPA and an 1100 SAT or 22 ACT. We can proudly say that 100% of admitted students receive some type of merit-based, academic scholarship.
As a core value, TLU and the NCAA believe in and are committed to diversity, inclusion, and gender equity among student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. TLU seeks to establish and maintain an inclusive culture that fosters equitable participation for student-athletes and career opportunities for coaches and administrators from diverse backgrounds. Diversity and inclusion improve the learning environment for all student-athletes and enhance excellence.
With a Hispanic student population of 40 percent, TLU is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) as designated by the Department Of Education. HSIs also serve students by promoting a racially diverse student body, fostering a positive and open campus, and providing services that are specifically designed to help Hispanic students.
