The mission of the Division of Humanities at TLU is to expand students’ knowledge of human beings in all their diversity: their histories, environments, creative activities, quests for meaning, and future potential. The Humanities at TLU equip students with skills in critical thinking, self-expression, empathy, and moral reasoning. Students learn to navigate complex problems, ponder what matters most, explore their own humanity and vocation, and lead with vision and integrity. Graduates are adaptable lifelong learners who are prepared to excel in different career paths, including those that don’t yet exist.
La División de Humanidades de TLU tiene como propósito fortalecer la comprensión del ser humano en todos sus contextos, promoviendo la reflexión, el pensamiento crítico, la expresión, la empatía y la ética. Además, prepara al estudiantado para enfrentar problemáticas complejas, profundizar en su vocación y ejercer un liderazgo basado en la integridad. Sus egresados se distinguen por su formación interdisciplinaria y por estar equipados para destacar en diversas trayectorias profesionales, incluidas aquellas que aún están emergiendo.
