Break the Chains, Break the Myths: Human Trafficking Discussion Panel

As part of Women's History Month, TLU is collaborating with the Thriving Hearts Crisis Center to host a Human Trafficking discussion panel on March 6th, at 5:30 p.m. in Wupperman Little Theatre.

The panel aims to shed light on the pressing issue of human trafficking and explore ways to combat it in our community. We will dive into the various facets of human trafficking, including its root causes, prevalence, and impact on individuals and communities.

Topics Include:

- Understanding the scope and forms of human trafficking
- Identifying signs of trafficking and supporting survivors
- Collaborative efforts for prevention and advocacy

Panel Members:

- Joshua O. Ray: Chief Deputy, Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office

- Stephanie Johnson: Sexual Assault Program Coordinator, Thriving Hearts Crisis Center

The panel will be moderated by Dr. David Ortiz, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at TLU. This event is open to all members of the community.
