NEA Big Read Seguin Finale

A community read and live performances at the Central Park Gazebo in downtown Seguin. This event is part of the Big Read Seguin led by TLU in partnership with the Seguin Public Library and Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin.

Special guests include President Dr. Debbie Cottrell, the Honorable Mayor Donna Dodgen, Seguin ISD Superintendent Dr. Matthew Gutierrez, and local novelist Tracy Donley. Enjoy Ballet Folklorico performances by Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin and special exhibits reflecting the themes of "Heartland" by Sarah Smarsh. Bring your stamped event passports for special recognitions and copies of your Big Read Seguin books for a first-ever simultaneous community read.

Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Big Read program broadens the understanding of the world, neighbors, and ourselves through books. Showcasing a diverse range of themes, voices, and perspectives, the NEA Big Read aims to inspire meaningful conversations, artistic responses, and new discoveries and connections in each community.
