Abby Wambach: Soccer Legend & New York Times Best-Selling Author

Texas Lutheran University welcomes Abby Wambach, Olympian, author, and activist, on Tuesday, September 14, at 7 p.m., in Jackson Auditorium. Wambach is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, FIFA World Cup Champion, and six-time winner of the U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year award. She was the United States’ leading scorer in the 2007 and 2011 Women’s World Cup tournaments and the 2004 and 2012 Olympics.
As of August 2, 2021, TLU’s COVID-19 Policies and Protocols require all visitors, faculty, staff, and students to wear masks at indoor events, regardless of whether or not an individual has been vaccinated.
An activist for equality and inclusion, she is the author of the #1 New York Times-bestseller WOLFPACK as well as the forthcoming adaptation of WOLFPACK for the next generation. Abby is also co-founder of Wolfpack Endeavor, a training program that is revolutionizing leadership development for women in the workplace and beyond, and sits on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization Together Rising.
She lives in Florida with her wife, author Glennon Doyle, and their three children.
