Bob Chilcott, world-renowned composer, conductor and singer, is returning to the TLU School of Music as conductor of the 2024 Youth Choir Festival on Saturday, January 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Jackson Auditorium. The TLU School of Music invites treble choirs from grades 4-12 to participate in a day-long clinic full of inspirational singing with this master clinician. Choirs and their directors will take back memories of a once in a lifetime performing experience.
This marks Mr. Chilcott’s third residency in the School of Music to work with the choral students and conduct the young singers from our community and across Texas as the Festival Conductor. The 2024 TLU Youth Choir Festival closes with a formal concert in Jackson Auditorium at 4 p.m. This performance is free and open to the public.
All choirs will come prepared to rehearse and sing three works by Bob Chilcott:
Can you hear me?
The Time of Snow
Red Boots On
The first 175 paid registrations will receive all three pieces free! There are only 175 copies of each
piece available – so be sure to get your registrations in early!
