Athletic Recruits
What It Means To Be A DIII Athlete
At TLU, it's a privilege and an amazing opportunity to be part of one of our 19 intercollegiate teams. Success in the classroom is just as important to us as success on the field or on the court. Our goal for all student-athletes is to receive a top-rated education while also realizing their goal of playing collegiate sports.
Bulldog Athletics is home to national champions, All-Americans, conference titles, and much more. We are proud to say our athletic success is paired right along side our academic success and the overall TLU experience.

TLU Admissions Works With Coaches To Recruit Athletes
While coaches are often the first point of contact for prospective recruits, they work closely with the TLU Office Of Admissions to make sure you follow the enrollment process and fill out all documents necessary to apply for admission.
The Athlete Inquiry Form is how TLU admissions receives your information and assigns a representative to guide you along the application process. Completing the form is necessary for us to make sure we have everything we need to assist you.

Scholarships & Financial Aid
While we do not offer athletics scholarships as a DIII university, we do believe all students should be able to afford a small, private college experience.
We can proudly say that 100% of admitted students receive some type of merit-based, academic scholarship. We offer freshman academic scholarships based on high school core academic GPA. Freshman applicants could also qualify for an additional SAT/ACT award. Transfer academic scholarships are awarded based on cumulative GPA from all institutions attended.
TLU Is Committed To Diversity & Inclusion
As a core value, TLU and the NCAA believe in and are committed to diversity, inclusion, and gender equity among student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. TLU seeks to establish and maintain an inclusive culture that fosters equitable participation for student-athletes and career opportunities for coaches and administrators from diverse backgrounds. Diversity and inclusion improve the learning environment for all student-athletes and enhance excellence.
With a Hispanic student population of 40 percent, TLU is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) as designated by the Department Of Education. HSIs also serve students by promoting a racially diverse student body, fostering a positive and open campus, and providing services that are specifically designed to help Hispanic students.
