Over the past two years, TLU’s Campus Ministry has been engaging in a new and exciting endeavor that we are calling the “TLU Takeover,” where we come to some of our local and friendly congregations and, well, take over the worship services for a Sunday.

We have had some amazing opportunities to put our student leaders in front of congregations in Seguin, San Marcos, and San Antonio, and every event has been such a gift to both the congregations and our students!

Our latest takeover was at Triumphant Lutheran Church in Garden Ridge, Texas. Pastor Aaron excitedly invited us to bring our gifts, talents, and leadership to the good people of TLC, many of whom have close connections to Texas Lutheran.

Through prayer, music, and speaking leadership, our students proved to all present that they are not the up-and-coming church; they are the church today! The Spirit moved powerfully through our offering of worship, and we left certain that we had experienced God together in a real and powerful way.
