As part of Disability Awareness Month, TLU recently held its second annual wheelchair

exhibition race featuring a parasport team of young athletes based in Wimberley, Texas. The event was part of the annual D3 Challenge track meet held on campus. 

“TLU has long celebrated the strength, dedication, and sportsmanship of its athletes,” said Sarah Westerfield, Director of Counseling and Accommodation Services and Student ADA Coordinator at TLU. “We’re grateful to be able to spotlight this local group of young athletes who exemplify those same qualities. To celebrate them alongside our Bulldog Track and Field team during the D3 Challenge is a lot of fun!”

The event, which is quickly becoming a favorite tradition, will be held annually in March.
