TLU Extends Heartfelt Gratitude for Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest Donation

Texas Lutheran University received a generous donation of $238,542 from the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest (LFSW). The foundation, which gives to ELCA ministries throughout Texas, is on a mission to bridge the gap between generations of the Church, ensuring the continuation of Christ’s ministry in the world. They do this by connecting donors who would like to share their legacy dollars with ministries they believe in—including educational institutions like TLU.

The foundation has been inspiring and facilitating legacy stewardship since it was founded in 1979 in Austin, Texas, with TLU among its seven original sponsoring agencies.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest for their generous gift of $238,542,” says Delia Saucedo-Milam, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at TLU. “This significant contribution plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission of providing exceptional education and opportunities to our students. Your support is instrumental in shaping the future of our university and empowering the success of the TLU community. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to higher education and the growth of our institution."

The donated funds will be used for student scholarships and various university funds specified by the donors. The impact of such a gift is immeasurable, and the effects will ripple through generations of students who—thanks to the generosity of these faithful individuals—will be able to attend TLU and live to inspire others, carrying the legacy forward.
