TLU is thrilled to welcome five new members to its Board of Regents, including Heath Anders, Jim Colvin, Lori Jaecks, Danny Merck, Gregg Weston.
Anders is a 1990 graduate of TLU (Business Management) and now the co-owner of Anders Pierce Realty Company, which sells residential and commercial property in Seguin, New Braunfels, and San Marcos. He has served for several years on TLU’s Development Board. He and his wife Tess also own Pecantown, a bookstore in downtown Seguin. The Anders live in Seguin and are active in the community.
Colvin is a 1969 graduate of TLU (Biology and Chemistry). While a student here, he played baseball, participated in the choir, and served as a student assistant in Biology. He attended medical school at UTMB in Galveston and completed his medical residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in 1979. From 1979 to 2015 he was in private practice, specializing in gynecological surgery and robotic surgery. He serves on the Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation Board as well as the GRMC Board of Directors. He and his wife Pam are active in the Beefmaster Breeders Association.
Jaecks graduated from TLU in 1983. Now retired, she worked for more than thirty years at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth as a computer assets manager. She has experience in strategic asset management, the aerospace industry, and working with employers in the engineering and aerospace fields in the North Texas region. She is an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Worth. Her daughter, who serves on the TLU Corporation, is also a TLU alum.
Merck is a 1983 graduate of TLU, where he earned a degree in Business Administration/Marketing. Now retired, he had a career in medical sales with Novavax and GlaxoSmithKline. He is experienced in organizational development, strategic business planning, marketing, and training. He and his wife live in the North Texas town of Keller.
And finally, Weston is a business entrepreneur, with expertise in the restaurant business on the San Antonio Riverwalk (including Rita’s on the River). He lives in New Braunfels with his wife Monique. He is active in numerous civic and faith-based organizations, including Last Chance Ministries, Christian Montessori Schools International, and the San Antonio Rotary. He currently serves on the Weston Ranch Foundation Board, whose membership includes representatives from the Weston Family and from TLU.
