Every year, the Council of Independent Colleges, in cooperation with the American Academic Leadership Institute, chooses a slate of outstanding professionals in university leadership roles for its Senior Leadership Academy. SLA is a professional development program for administrators in CIC member institutions who aspire to move into senior leadership positions. This year, TLU’s Dr. Pamela Ray, Director of Service Learning & Career Development, is among the chosen few.
“We are pleased that the Senior Leadership Academy continues to be a competitive program that attracts top talent from independent colleges and universities,” says Dr. Titilayo Ufomata, Senior Vice President for Academic Programs, Council of Independent Colleges. “This type of training is essential to better prepare leaders who aspire to take on more challenging campus roles. Each participant will receive executive coaching and a professional experience plan, along with the opportunity to build their network of leaders from similar institutions.”
“Being chosen for the Senior Leadership Academy is a remarkable privilege, offering a significant chance for personal and professional development,” says Ray. “It fills me with pride, excitement, and a strong sense of duty to contribute meaningfully at all levels here at TLU. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with respected peers, mentors, and leaders, and eager to apply these learnings to benefit the community and higher education. This selection not only acknowledges past successes but also serves as a foundation for future accomplishments and leadership growth, for which I am humbly thankful.”
